Should I Edit My Source Store During Migration?
Technically, yes, but it's not recommended.
When migration is in progress, Migrationpro is actively reading data from your source store. If you edit, delete, or add records at the same time, it can cause inconsistencies, for example, a product being partially read before your edit is saved, resulting in incomplete or incorrect data in the target store.
What can go wrong:
Products may transfer with missing fields if edited mid-migration
Deleted items may cause errors in the migration process
New records added during migration won't be included, use Recent Data Migration for those afterward
Best practice: Avoid making changes to your source store until the migration is complete. If you need to add new data, run a Recent Data Migration after the full migration finishes.
