To connect your WooCommerce store, you'll need to upload the Connector Bridge file to your server. Prefer a visual walkthrough? Watch the video below:
Or follow the steps below:
Enter the Source Store URL and download the Connector Bridge file from your migration tool
Upload the "Connector Bridge file" to the WooCommerce store server. Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
FileZilla Client (free FTP software), or access to cPanel File Manager
Your FTP credentials (Host, Username, Password, Port) from your hosting provider
Where to find your FTP credentials: Log into your hosting panel (cPanel, Plesk, etc.) and go to Files → FTP Accounts. If you don't have an FTP account yet, create one there. You can also check the welcome email from your hosting provider, FTP details are usually included.
How to Connect via FileZilla?
Open FileZilla and fill in the Quickconnect bar at the top:
Field | What to Enter |
Host | Your FTP host (e.g., ftp.yourdomain.com or server IP) |
Username | Your FTP username |
Password | Your FTP password |
Port | 21 (or 22 for SFTP) |
Click Quickconnect. Once connected:
Left panel = your computer (Local site)
Right panel = your server (Remote site)
In the right panel, navigate to your WooCommerce store's root folder (usually /public_html/ or /www/). You'll know you're in the right place if you see WordPress files like wp-config.php, wp-content/, and the main index.php file:
Unzip the downloaded file, then drag and drop the entire mp_connector folder from the left panel to the right panel in FileZilla (into your store's root folder):
If you have any problems using the mp_connector, read how you can fix this issue or contact our support team.
3. After the successful connection to the Source store, click the "Next: Configure your migration" button to proceed.
