Migration from an old store to a new platform can be done in just a couple of simple steps:

1. Set new eCommerce platform

Set the eCommerce platform in a subdomain or subdirectory. If your store is hosted with cloud-based services such as Shopify or BigCommerce, then it will likely already have its own domain name so you don’t have to use a subdomain.

2. Migrate data to the new store

Transfer all necessary Source Store data to your Target Store.

3. Set theme and extensions

Set all of the required Target Store themes and extensions.

4. Point the domain to the new website

Once everything is done and your Target Store is ready, switch the DNS so the domain points to the new Target Store.
